Rocktober 21: Thunder Kiss ’65 | White Zombie

 

For tonight’s 31 Days of Rocktober pick, I’m sticking with early-1990s moshpit friendly music. Here’s Thunder Kiss ’65 by White Zombie, from 1992 just like last night’s song. The obvious hook is the guitar riff which hypnotizes you into headbanging. You are hopeless to resist it. But you’re in good company.

Beavis and Butthead creator Mike Judge also loved the song and put it in a 1993 episode of the show called Yogurt’s Cool, which brought White Zombie into the mainstream and made the album with Thunder Kiss go gold that year.
