Friday Funk: Bop Gun – Ice Cube w George Clinton

This Friday Funk installment is for my friend Steve Gomez aka @TodayTrader. Even a George Clinton purist should appreciate Ice Cube’s 1993 Bop Gun which samples One Nation Under A Groove, a 1978 song by Clinton’s Funkadelic. And Cube’s song is named after another Funkadelic song from 1977. According to Clinton’s interplanetary funkology, a Bop Gun is “shot at funkless people and fills their heart with funk and enlightenment from false ideology.” And with that, here’s the full 11 minute Cube/Clinton track to get your cool back for the long weekend.
