Housing Market Softer?

– Housing Market Index 55. Previous was 57.

This is s survey index taken by The National Association of Home Builders asking builders how they view the Housing Market.  The report has some weaknesses particularly a 5 point drop in buyer traffic.  This could be due to weather.

 

E-Commerce Retail Sales  (4thQ2014)

– E-Sales quarter/quarter (seasonally adjusted, annualized) +2.3%. Previous was +3.6%.

Year-on-year, e-commerce sales rose 14.6% in the 4thQ.

 

Empire State Manufacturing Survey  (February 2015)

– General Business Conditions Index 7.78. Previous was 9.05.

This index, reported by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, is a relic of the time when manufacturing was as important part of that state’s economy.
