Initial Jobless Claims Remain Low.

Initial Jobless Claims (week ended 4/4/2015)

– New Claims seasonally adjusted 281,000. Previous was 267,000.
– New Claims unadjusted, totaled 253,016 an increase of 13,269 from previous
– 4-week Moving Average seasonally adjusted   282,250. Previous was 285,240

Last week’s BLS report was a reminder that low Initial Claims do not translate into sizable jobs gains.

Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index (week ended 4/5/2015)

– Level  47.9. Previous was 46.2.

Let’s see if consumers really increase spending.

 

Wholesale Trade (February 2015)

– Inventories month/month  +0.3%. Previous was +0.4%.
