– Level 51.5. Previous was 49.4

Continued slow growth in manufacturing.

 

Construction Spending (August 2016)

– Construction Spending (seasonally adjusted) month/month -0.7%. Previous was -0.3%
– Construction Spending (seasonally adjusted) year/year -0.3%. Previous was +1.5%

Construction Spending is an indication of where the economy is going. The data inside this report from the Census Bureau says that commercial construction is down, single family home
construction is down and multi-family residential construction is up.
