Initial Jobless Claims (week ended 11/26/2016)

– New Claims seasonally adjusted 268,000. Previous was 251,000
– New Claims unadjusted, totaled 250,377 a decrease of 37,417 from previous
– 4-week Moving Average 251,500. Previous was 251,000

Initial Claims are at 5 month highs. This is not surprising given that we were recently at a 43 year low.
PMI Manufacturing Index (November 2016)

– level 54.1. Previous was 53.4

This is at a 20-month high.

 

ISM Manufacturing Index (November 2016)

– Level 53.2. Previous was 51.9

 

Construction Spending (October 2016)

– Construction Spending month/month +0.5%. Previous was -0.4%
– Construction Spending year/year +3.4%. Previous was -0.2%
