Constant chatter about “disruption” and “fintech” makes me appreciate when plain English is used to describe technological innovation. By these standards, this 2016 piece by my friends Brandon and Heang (at lending software company Blend) is holding up well, and is worth re-reading.
Both of these guys know what they’re doing in the lending technology space because they were both originators for many years before moving to the technology side. Brandon and I worked together for years at my current and previous companies where he was a top producer, and now he’s part of the sales organization. Heang and I worked together at Wells Fargo where he was a top producer before he moved over to Blend, and now runs his own lending and banking technology startup called Original Tech.
Both my current company and Wells Fargo use Blend software.
