Friday Funk: Tropidelico – by Quantic Soul Orchestra
Since I’ve been on island time this week, this Friday Funk installment is coming on a Saturday. Two fitting picks to get your cool back for the long weekend: Tropidelico is the first song on Quantic Soul Orchestra’s album of the same name, and Regi Bugalu takes the funkiness up several notches. Quantic is the brainchild of Will Holland, and England born, Colombia based multi-instrumentalist and DJ who (in my opinion) is one of the most important figures soul/jazz/funk today.
