Find out of you have a Fannie or Freddie loan
Once you’ve looked at the Q&A to determine if you qualify, then it’s important to see if you have a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan. You should do this before you call your servicer (the company sending you your mortgage statements) because they might not have it at their fingertips and it will save time.
