The best part is toward the end where the man-in-the-street guy at the gas station says of high gas prices: “I just close my eyes and pump.” Cheesy sex jokes from Jon Stewart and John Oliver ensue.
Also, if you don’t have the patience for that clip, see the one below it where a CNN anchor jacks himself up on a forklift to physically demonstrate how high gas prices can go. It has to be seen to be believed. Word to CNN: Just because Al Gore invented the forklift move to jazz up hard science lectures on global warming doesn’t make it OK for so-called journalists to use it to emphasize their made up gas price statistics. If CNN’s pure subjectivity and conjecture is journalism, then we’re fine getting our news from a comedy show.
