NAR Outlook Summer 2008: No Recession But Slow Growth

As the long Memorial Day weekend officially kicks off summer 2018, here’s a gem from my archives … an economic outlook from the National Association of Realtors. No Recession But Slow Growth. In summer 2008, just as the financial crisis was hitting full stride. Here are some headlines throughout the month this NAR outlook was published. I’m not a revisionist—my bias made me too positive back then as well—but the events of that time certainly were darkening for those who were detached and disciplined enough to see it. It’s a good lesson.
