Obama, Congress Close To New Stimulus

Vice president elect Joe Biden says that Barack Obama and Congress are close to an agreement on a new economic stimulus package. He didn’t answer questions on whether it was going to cost $800 billion or more or less. Previously announced versions of the package (click Barak Obama tag for more) have promised millions of jobs and massive infrastructure projects. The main criticism of infrastructure projects is that they take long to get approved and if there’s money ready for already-approved projects, then the wrong projects can get the funding—wrong meaning that they don’t have long-term impacts.
