McCain: I Have An Economic Plan. It’s Good.

This is late, but should still be breaking news. Last week, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos interviewed shoe-in Republican Presidential nominee John McCain and covered economic issues. McCain, who changes his economic message every time he speaks as seen here and here, once again proved he “doesn’t understand economics very well.”

McCain’s quotes get even better than that in the Stephanopoulos interview. McCain describes his economic platform as follows: “I have an economic plan. It’s good.” And when grilled on how his proposed summertime gas tax holiday would blow out his promise to balance the budget in his first year as President, McCain said: “No of course not. Look, I’ll find you $100 billion tomorrow.” McCain’s blustery response is eerily reminiscent of war-ravaged madman Walter Sobchak in The Big Lebowski telling The Dude how to out-con the con artists: “You want a toe? I can get you a toe, believe me.” Watch the Stephanopoulos interview below to see McCain on the economic hot seat. It’s good.
