Sandra Thompson has been acting FHFA head since June, but today Biden nominated her for the full 5-year post. She still needs to be confirmed by the Senate. The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) was created by post-2008 crisis regs, and oversees Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Bank System.
