Sorry To Bother You trailer – Boots Riley’s first movie
Boots Riley from The Coup has been flipping scripts and repping the underdogs as a rapper/activist for decades, and now he’s doing it again with his first writer/director movie Sorry To Bother You, in which a black telemarketer rises up by finding his “white voice.” The cast is ridiculous, and it was a big hit at Sundance. I’ve been counting the days for the trailer to drop, which happened today. Check it out below, and if you’re in the Bay, SF Film is doing screenings in SF and Oakland on April 12. Otherwise, the movie comes out in July. Props to Boots. I love everything he does.
