Take a look at this image Jon Steinberg at The Information just put in his newsletter. Of the 18 big firms that splurged on multi-million Super Bowl ads in 2022, almost all of them laid off workers in the next 12 months.

Any predictions for how it’ll play out for this year’s advertisers? Or are we safe because it was mostly booze and food and cars and Jesus?
