Things were terrible then with unemployment averaging 9.7%. Yet Thriller stands to this day—a day we’re entering into a third straight quarter of negative GDP growth and 7.2% unemployment—as the greatest selling album of all time, with more than 100 million copies sold.
With job security quickly on its way to being as bad as it was 27 years ago, perhaps it’s time to use this as an inspirational lesson.
