Jamie Dimon For President? He’s leaving JPMorgan within 5 years.

The Jamie Dimon succession story at JPMorgan Chase just got a new chapter from Joshua Franklin, Arash Massoudi, and Ortenca Aliaj at the Financial Times.
To me, the biggest takeaway is a reminder that one of the best bank CEOs ever, Jamie Dimon, will leave his post within 5 years.
Dimon is unlikely to sit still. He’s 68 now, and would have plenty in the tank after finishing his JPMorgan Chase tenure.
One could argue his org is as important as the Fed or the FDIC, having been a key player in systemic stabilization in the post-2008 crisis years as well as last year’s bank crisis.
So would that mean he could be Treasury Secretary next?
Or President?
Topics that are easy to think about in an election year.
What are your thoughts?
