RIP Frank Nothaft, one of the mortgage greats

Legendary mortgage and housing economist Frank Nothaft passed at age 66 this weekend. He made generations of us better informed as chief economist for Freddie Mac and CoreLogic.

To me, he was always a steady hand in a volatile space, which I only came to appreciate more as the social era added so much noise to the data.

He’s one of the greats, and will be truly missed. I offer my sincere condolences to Frank’s family.
