Rocktober 27: Season of the Witch – by Donovan

When Halloween falls midweek, the costume partying falls the weekend before. I’ve had the rare gift of being out on the town this weekend in San Diego and San Francisco, and it’s been awesome to see costumes out in full force. The Season of the Witch is indeed upon us, so naturally picking Scottish singer songwriter Donovan’s 1966 song of that name for tonight’s 31 Days of Rocktober installment. Fun fact: it’s considered one of the first psychedelic rock songs if not the first.
