Rocktober 7: Mississippi Queen – Mountain

Tonight’s Rocktober installment is Mountain’s 1970 song Mississippi Queen, an undisputed classic that’s been in countless movies and covered by Ozzy, Molly Hatchet and Ministry. There’s also something about it that people associate with car chases. So here’s a video of cool chases set to the song. It regrettably excludes what I think is the best use of the song in the Dukes of Hazard movie. But I did find a General Lee tribute set to it, so that’s below as well. Whether or not you’re working Monday, this song will ensure you roll into the week pumped up.
