– 357,000 for week ended March 31, seasonally adjusted

– Down 6,000 from previous week’s revised 363,000 (was 364k)

– 4-week moving average was 361,750, down 4,250 from previous week

– Unadjusted initial claims were 311,339 a decrease of 12,054 from the previous week.

– The jobs market is improving at a painfully slow rate.

– Tomorrow’s BLS jobs report will give us a better picture.
