Zillow’s new AI finds your dream home faster than ChatGPT can write you an affordability rant

Zillow’s always done a good job of using tech to humanize real estate. First, they made it easy to creep on — I mean daydream about — homes of your friends, family, and neighbors. Then that sucked you into finding your own dream home. Now, right in sync with the AI craze ChatGPT set off for everyone, they’ve launched Zillow AI home search.

Gone is the process of filling in bed/bath count and zip code fields. Now you can just say something like:

I want a $750k home in Denver with a back yard and a deck.

Or…

I want a ski-out condo in Park City.

It’s pretty cool when you try it, and it’s already live on the Zillow app (note: I have iPhone so I didn’t test it on Android).

Zillow AI home search might not feel as fun as getting Chat GPT’s creepy-smart AI to write you a home affordability rant in seconds. But it might just show you a dream home you can afford — which is a way better use of AI … and your time.
