The Debt Thing
I have been offering little commentary on this because I can see nothing of economic significance in the bill. There are not really any spending reductions and taxes were neither increased or decreased. The entire discussion/debate was 98% politics and 2% economics. The fiscally important but politically perilous issues – Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security were not even addressed. The best plan to address fiscal policy is Simpson-Bowles which is still being ignored.

  1. Various attractions in the area offer a wide range of leisure activities such as the glass-bottomed ferry that has a twice-daily service between Altea and Denia stopping en route at Javea, or a bus trip to the cultural city of Valencia 1 hour to the north and last but not least, a visit to the wonderful Theme and Water parks just 40 away are a must for families and grown ups alike.

  2. long term rentals Javea says:

If you have dreamed of buying a villa, apartment or any other type of property in Spain, then one of the foremost places that comes to mind is Javea. It’s a location that will surely fulfill those dreams of spending warm sunny days on pristine sandy beaches or taking long solitary walks along the lovely Mediterranean coastline.

  3. Even though you can spend a very enjoyable holiday on the Arenal, the rest of Javea is well worth taking a look at. At the opposite end of Javea’s bay is the Port area. The port and the Arenal are linked by a road running alongside the beach with beach bars every few yards. These are essentially kiosks with tables and chairs arranged around them. Many of them have music playing and are a great way to relax and enjoy the Spanish sun away from the crowds.

  4. long term rentals Javea says:

Local accommodations at Javea can be acquired by the help of a travel agent. A visiting party can also refer directly to the owner of the property for rent. This can either be villas or apartments that are ready for occupancy. The best thing about these accommodations is that these are located along nice beach areas. Javea has become a famous spot for tourists who long for a relaxing vacation during summer because it is where the lovely beaches are. Since the hotels along the beach are very accessible, there is no need to worry about basking in the sun’s glory all day.

  5. Eating out has always been one of the big attractions in Spain. True, prices have risen since the arrival of the

Euro, but you really don’t have to look hard to find great value, with many of the better restaurants now offering

inventive and high quality “menu del dias” with dishes selected off the a la carte menu to attract in the clientele.

And I don’t need to add the wine remains as tasty and cheap as ever!

  6.  Talk to us about the expatriate experience in Spain. Where do community of foreigners live, how do they interact, what types of business and activities are they involved in, and how has that changed the country
The coastlines of Spain are turning into very international communities. It reminds me of what California and Florida must have been like back in the 60’s and 70’s. Every retired person from northern Europe is moving to Spain for the sun and sea.

  7. The city centre is packed with shops and restaurants, in addition to a number of shopping malls on the outskirts, such as Gran Via, Vista Hermosa and Panoramis. Eating out is certainly enjoyable in Alicante with a lively selection of bars, outdoor cafes and restaurants available in El Barrio and El Puerto. The two locations offer very different atmospheres, the old town charm of El Barrio contrasting nicely with El Puerto’s sleekly modern marina location.
