I Don’t Like That Insolent Tone

Last night as my condo building’s HOA meeting was wrapping up, my neighbor decided to gripe at great length about our water system vendor. His opus ended in this whiney crescendo:

“And they’re just so, so insolent.”

Insolent. Say that a few times out loud. It makes you laugh more than it makes you sound authoritative. As such, it’s amazingly useful to mock everything around you.

Here’s a few to get you started:

-Barista didn’t leave room for cream in your coffee? Insolent!

-Browser freeze while watching Charlie Sheen Roast clips? Insolent!

-Boss cut your presentation short? INSOLENT!! [stand up & point]
