Linkage: how millennials learned to love the suburbs

Millennials, world champions of whining about everything, are giving up on city living and moving to the suburbs.
According to a new Realtor.com analysis, 14 of the 15 fastest-growing towns in the U.S. are suburbs no hipster millennial would have been caught dead in 5 years ago.
Millennial Mom and Dad are realizing it’s easier to raise kids and pay student loans when you have a back yard and lower cost of living.
On the other end of the wealth spectrum, one guy in NYC owns two private islands but isn’t happy with them.
“I thought I would have great thoughts out here,” he said, but most of his thoughts have been about money, the NY Times reports. How quintessentially American and perfect for the 4th of July week.
