Chicago PMI  (February 2016)

– Business Barometer Index 47.6. Previous was 52.6.

This is a survey index conducted by The Institute For Supply Management – Chicago.  This is another indication that the manufacturing sector is in recession.

 

Pending Home Sales Index

– Pending Home Sales Index month/month -2.5%. Previous was +0.9%.

 

 

Dallas Federal Reserve Manufacturing Survey (February 2016)

– General Activity Index -31.8.
– Production Index -8.5

This is a survey conducted by the Dallas Fed.  It surveys about 100 manufacturers in Texas.

This is due is large part to the fact that low crude prices caused oil well shutdowns.
